About this smoothie

Nectarines are at their best in summer, when their flesh is soft, juicy and fragrant. Combined with pineapple, which adds sweetness, acidity and vitamin C, they create a bright, tropical tasting smoothie. Half a banana provides body, so water is enough as the liquid.

The smoothie is light enough for a hot afternoon but also works as part of breakfast. Outside the nectarine season, frozen peach slices are a good replacement and make the drink thicker.

Bartender tips

  • Use chilled fruit so the smoothie is cold without ice.
  • For a creamier version, use coconut milk drink instead of water.

Variations

With mango
Replace the banana with 80 g mango for an even more tropical flavour.
