About this smoothie

Kiwis are known for being rich in vitamin C, and their bright acidity makes them a natural partner for sweet melon. Honeydew is mostly water, so the drink stays very light. Dried goji berries, the fruit of a shrub grown mainly in China, are mildly sweet and slightly tart; soaked briefly, they blend smoothly. A refreshing glass for summer mornings or an afternoon break.

Bartender tips

  • Do not blend kiwi for too long; the crushed seeds can turn slightly bitter.
  • Golden kiwis make the smoothie sweeter and less tart.

Variations

Without goji
Leave out the goji berries and add a few green grapes instead.
