Mango Kiwi Smoothie

Sweet mango and tangy kiwi are a well-balanced pair: one gives body, the other freshness. Coconut water ties them together into a light, tropical drink.

Mango Kiwi Smoothie

Taste

Thick and fruity, with honeyed mango and a fresh, tangy kiwi finish.

About this smoothie

Mango is one of the best smoothie fruits: its flesh is thick and creamy, sweet and a good source of vitamin C and provitamin A. Kiwi complements it with a sharp, fresh acidity and is itself known for a high vitamin C content. The tiny black seeds add a little texture.

Coconut water is lighter than juice and adds mild sweetness and potassium. With only three ingredients, the smoothie is quick to make and tastes clearly of fruit. It fits a sunny breakfast or a refreshing afternoon break.

Bartender tips

  • Blend kiwi only briefly; long blending crushes the seeds and can make it taste bitter.
  • Frozen mango chunks make the smoothie cold and extra thick.

Variations

Green version
Add 15 g baby spinach for a green smoothie that tastes almost the same.

Frequently asked questions

Is this smoothie vegan?

Yes, all ingredients are plant based.

Do I need to peel the kiwi?

Usually yes; the fuzzy skin is edible but can feel rough. Golden kiwis have a smoother skin.

Can I use water instead of coconut water?

Yes. The smoothie will be a little tarter and less tropical.
