About this smoothie

Grapes are one of the juiciest fruits for smoothies and bring a lot of natural sweetness, which balances the mild tartness of blueberries. Seedless varieties are easiest, as the seeds can taste bitter when blended.

Blueberries add colour, vitamin C and fibre, and half a banana gives the smoothie body. With water as the base it stays light and completely plant based, ideal as a fruity snack or with breakfast.

Bartender tips

  • Freeze the grapes beforehand: they chill the smoothie like ice cubes, but add flavour.
  • Red grapes work too and make the colour even darker.

Variations

With yogurt
Replace half the water with natural yogurt for a creamier version.
