Taste
Mild and fruity with a delicate floral finish; smooth and medium thick.
About this smoothie
Chamomile tea is usually drunk hot, but cold it makes a gentle, lightly floral base for fruit. It contains no caffeine, which makes this smoothie a good choice in the afternoon or early evening.
Blueberries give the deep violet colour and a mild tartness, and the banana brings creaminess and natural sugar. Using a frozen banana turns it into a thicker, colder drink without ice.
Bartender tips
Brew the chamomile a little stronger than usual, because cold drinks taste less intense.
Frozen blueberries work just as well and make the smoothie colder.
Variations
With oats
Blend in 2 tbsp rolled oats for a more filling breakfast version.
