Sweet blueberries, tangy passion fruit and a small handful of peppery rocket: an unusual trio that works surprisingly well. The colour alone is worth it.

Blueberry Rocket Smoothie with Passion Fruit
Taste
Fruity and fairly light, sweet blueberry up front, tangy passion fruit in the middle and a peppery finish.
About this smoothie
Blueberries are one of the mildest and sweetest berries, which makes them an ideal partner for bolder flavours. Here they balance the peppery bite of rocket and the perfumed acidity of passion fruit. Blueberries owe their deep colour to anthocyanins and also provide fibre and vitamin C, rocket brings vitamin K. The result is a light, fruity smoothie with a distinct savoury spice in the finish, a good choice for anyone who finds pure fruit smoothies too sweet.
Bartender tips
With frozen blueberries the smoothie gets thicker and colder without ice.
Use young, small rocket leaves; older leaves can taste bitter.
Variations
With baby spinach
Swap the rocket for baby spinach if you prefer a mild, non-spicy smoothie.

Yes. It contains only fruit, rocket and water.
Can I prepare it the night before?
