About this smoothie

Pineapple brings sweetness, juiciness and a lively acidity, blueberries a softer berry flavour and their striking colour. Both contribute vitamin C, and blueberries add fibre as well. With only water as the liquid, the smoothie stays light and lets the fruit taste clearly.

It is a good morning or afternoon smoothie on warm days, and a refreshing drink after exercise. For a thicker version, use frozen blueberries or add half a banana.

Bartender tips

  • Frozen blueberries make the smoothie colder and thicker.
  • A few mint leaves add a fresh note that suits both fruits.

Variations

Creamy
Replace the water with coconut milk drink or add half a banana for more body.
