About this smoothie

Banana and mango are both creamy fruits, so this smoothie needs no yoghurt to be thick. Coconut milk strengthens the tropical character, and half a passion fruit adds acidity and a floral aroma that stops the sweetness from becoming heavy. Mango is a source of vitamin C and beta carotene, banana of potassium.

It is filling enough for breakfast and sweet enough for dessert. Frozen mango makes it thick and cold year round.

Bartender tips

  • Frozen banana or mango make the smoothie thick and ice cold.
  • Add the passion fruit last and pulse briefly to keep the seeds whole.

Variations

Pineapple twist
Swap the passion fruit for 50 g pineapple.
