Apple, Pear and Pineapple Smoothie

Taste

Sweet and fruity, smooth from apple and pear, with a juicy, tangy pineapple finish.

About this smoothie

Apples and pears blend into a mild, creamy base and are available all year. Pineapple brings the character: a juicy, sweet and tangy tropical flavour that makes the whole drink taste fresher. Fresh pineapple also contains the enzyme bromelain, which is why it can tingle slightly on the tongue.

It is a simple, reliable fruit smoothie without greens, well suited to children and to anyone who prefers classic fruit flavours. It makes a good breakfast drink or a snack between meals.

Bartender tips

  • Ripe pineapple smells sweet at the base, and inner leaves pull out easily.
  • Frozen pineapple chunks make the smoothie thick and cold without ice.

Variations

Mint version
Add a few fresh mint leaves for a cooler, more refreshing smoothie.
