About this smoothie

Nectarines are a smooth-skinned variety of peach, so there is no need to peel them, and ripe ones blend easily. They bring a fragrant sweetness that pairs well with the milder apple. Both fruits contain fibre, especially in the skin. Without dairy or banana, this is one of the lightest smoothies in the collection. It suits hot summer days and a light breakfast.

Bartender tips

  • Only fully ripe nectarines give enough flavour; they should smell sweet and yield slightly.
  • For a thicker smoothie, freeze the nectarine pieces or use less water.

Variations

With yoghurt
Add 75 g natural yoghurt for a creamier smoothie.
