Strawberry Passion Fruit Smoothie

Strawberries and passion fruit are a natural pair: one sweet and fragrant, the other sharp and perfumed. A little baby spinach disappears completely behind the red of the berries.

Taste

Fresh and tangy with ripe strawberry sweetness, light body and crunchy passion fruit seeds.

About this smoothie

This light fruit smoothie relies on two strong aromas. Strawberries provide sweetness and body and are known for their vitamin C content. Passion fruit adds an intense tropical scent and a pleasant acidity, plus the small black seeds that give a little crunch. The baby spinach is a quiet addition: its colour vanishes under the red, and its taste is hardly noticeable.

With water as the only liquid, this glass is refreshing rather than filling, ideal for a warm day.

Bartender tips

  • Frozen strawberries give a thicker, colder smoothie in winter.
  • If it is too tart, add half a banana or a little honey.

Variations

Creamy version
Add 2 tbsp natural yoghurt for a softer, creamier glass.
