Pear Lemon Smoothie with Yoghurt

Taste

Creamy and fresh, sweet pear with a clear lemon tang and a soft yoghurt body.

About this smoothie

Pears are sweet and mild but can taste a little flat on their own. Lemon juice solves that, adding acidity and freshness and also keeping the pear from browning. Natural yoghurt makes the smoothie creamy and slightly tangy, with a texture close to a light lassi.

It is a simple, quick recipe for any season, as pears and lemons are always available. A good breakfast or a light dessert in a glass.

Bartender tips

  • Add a little grated lemon zest from an untreated lemon for more aroma.
  • Very ripe pears need hardly any sweetener.

Variations

Lemon mint
Blend in a few mint leaves for an even fresher smoothie.
