About this smoothie

Strawberry banana is one of the best-known smoothie combinations. Strawberries are rich in vitamin C and bring a fresh, slightly tart sweetness; the banana adds body and creaminess.

Blueberries turn the colour from pink to a deep berry red and add a subtle, sweet-tart note. Because the strawberries are frozen, the smoothie is cold and thick even though it is made with water only. That keeps it light and dairy free, good for breakfast or a snack.

Bartender tips

  • Let the frozen strawberries sit for a few minutes if your blender struggles with them.
  • For a creamier version, use milk or a plant drink instead of water.

Variations

With yogurt
Add 2 tbsp natural yogurt for a creamier, tangier smoothie.
