About this smoothie

Blackberries ripen in late summer and have a deeper, slightly earthier taste than raspberries. They provide fibre and vitamin C and bring a lot of colour to any glass. Oat milk is naturally a little sweet and has a creamy texture, which suits the tart berries well. Half a banana adds body.

The result is a plant based smoothie that feels rich without dairy. A good choice for breakfast or a mid morning snack.

Bartender tips

  • Frozen blackberries work just as well and make it thicker.
  • Strain through a sieve if you mind the small seeds.

Variations

With cinnamon
Add a pinch of cinnamon for an autumnal twist.
