About this smoothie

Dried fruit is a simple way to sweeten a smoothie naturally. Sultanas, dried white grapes, have a honeyed, slightly caramel flavour and blend in well, especially after a short soak. They also contribute some fibre. Strawberries bring aroma, vitamin C and a little acidity, banana creaminess and potassium, and almond milk a mild nutty base.

The result is a sweet, fruity and filling glass that suits breakfast or an afternoon snack.

Bartender tips

  • Soaking the sultanas makes them blend without little pieces.
  • Dates work as an alternative: use one or two, pitted.

Variations

With oats
Add 1 tbsp rolled oats for a more filling breakfast version.
