About this smoothie

This is a citrus smoothie with a creamy twist. Freshly squeezed orange juice provides sweetness and plenty of flavour, lime adds a sharper, aromatic acidity, and both citrus fruits are known for their vitamin C. The banana turns the juices into a smoothie with body, and fresh mint cools the finish.

It is dairy free and quick to make, a good wake-up glass for breakfast or a refreshing drink on a hot afternoon.

Bartender tips

  • Roll the citrus fruits firmly on the worktop before squeezing to get more juice.
  • A frozen banana makes the smoothie colder and thicker.

Variations

Tropical version
Add 80 g mango for a sweeter, more tropical citrus smoothie.
