Porn Star Martini
Juicy and tropical, sweet-tart with a creamy vanilla note and a soft foam. The prosecco adds a dry, fresh contrast.
The Porn Star Martini was created by the London bartender Douglas Ankrah in the early 2000s, and it is closely linked to his Townhouse bar in Knightsbridge. Ankrah said he imagined it as the sort of drink a porn star might order: glamorous, flirtatious and a little over the top.
Despite the name, it has nothing to do with a classic Martini beyond the glass. The drink spread quickly through British bars and in recent years has regularly appeared among the most ordered cocktails in the UK. Ankrah, who also co-founded the London bar LAB, died in 2021; the drink remains his best-known creation and a fixture on bar menus far beyond London.
